First Light Farm's Annual Fall Family Festival Saturday/Sunday, October 2/3 through October 23/24 10-4 pm
We're different from other pumpkin farms. Former customers call us "the quiet farm" because we're smaller.We like that as we want you and your family to have a personal experience on our farm that celebrates the beauty of the fall season!
Each weekend, families can experience different fall fun activities along with the traditional hayrides and pumpkin hunting. Our u-pick fields will also be open for picking as well as our farm stand. When available we'll have roasted corn, s'more and peppers for roasting:
October 2/3 - Make Your Own Scarecrow! Learn how to make your own scarecrow. We call these original creations "fall farm art"! Our farm will provide you with a scarecrow frame, the straw for stuffing, twine for the belt, coloring tools and directions. Families must bring their own clothing for the scarecrow and a pillow case for the head. You can make one scarecrow or create a whole family! Our annual farm event that is always fun for your whole family. $15/per scarecrow kit plus tax.
October 9/10 Baby Farm Animals and an Educational Scavenger Hunt Meet the baby sheep and goats from Holk farm. Families can learn more about farming through an educational farm scavenger hunt. Pumpkin hunting, farm stand shopping, u-picking, s'more roasting and more.
October 16 - Kids' Barter Fair Kids' Barter Fair - a fun way to share and discover new treasures without spending $. Families will need to sign up ahead of the fair with a count of how many in your family will participating and what kinds of items you'll be bringing and what kinds of items you're hoping to find. Each family should bring a blanket for your items to barter. A pop up tent if you have one. Appropriate for ages 5-13. Parents will need to participate to ensure their child has a positive learning experience. Event is weather dependent.
October 17- Pumpkin Decorating Pumpkin Decorating - purchase your perfect pumpkin and decorate to take home for your porch. We'll provide the decoration materials, but feel free to bring your own. We'll take pictures of your creations for our newsletter! Pumpkins range in price from $5-25. Farm stand shopping, u-picking, s'mores roasting make it a perfect family event.
October 23/24 - Fall Community Event Let's celebrate the individuals and groups that make a difference in our community. Come meet and chat with these fine folks. Hayrides, pumpkin hunting, and food will be also be available.
COVID SAFETY: Social distancing is required in the pumpkin patch. Masks not required but strongly recommended. We will have hand sanitizing bottles for you at our farm stand. Let's be safe!
