YOUR COMMUNITY SUPPORTED AGRICULTURE or CSA
Knowing where your food comes from and having a relationship with your farmer should bring you greater peace about your health and the healthy of your family.
We love sharing the bounty that nature provides each year. That's how we like to approach our CSA program, as sharing our veggies with our family, friends and neighbors. The First Light Farm family and the communities we serve and belong to reflect a diverse palette of tastes and diet which we like to accommodate with our CSA program by having a variety of options to choose from.
When you join a CSA program, you are supporting local, sustainable farms like ours. Your willingness to pay up front provides us with the capital we need to pay for seeds, soil supplies, and to pay our staff during the early months of work when produce isn't ready to sell. We thank you for your support!

OPEN: 20-WEEK SUMMER CSA, JUNE 12th - OCTOBER 23rd
Summer months are when the farm is in full bloom with so much produce to share one often doesn't know how to choose between nature's abundance -- delicious tomatoes, pickling or salad cucumbers, sweet or hot peppers, different varieties of summer squash, leafy greens, etc. It's Mother Nature at her most glorious.
This year, we're offering a new selection process. Each week on Mondays you'll receive a list from us with 3 seasonal offerings plus 2 optional choices from a selection of what's fresh and available in the field. You can choose to go with our suggestions, or you can select 2-3 vegetables to substitute. If you choose to substitute, you'll need to submit your choices to us by Tuesday evening, midnight.
Have a small family or it's just yourself? You can choose the bi-monthly option (two weeks a month). Harvest and deliveries happen on Friday afternoon either in Carnation or in Seattle. You will receive a text when your harvest bag has been dropped off at the pick up site. We are happy to add a new drop off area if there's enough interest. (There is a small fee for additional gasoline usage.)
Your cost: $800.00 for 20 weeks ($40/week) or $400.00 for 10 weeks (bi-monthly option). Payment can be made in full or in four equal installments. If you need financial assistance, please let us know.
As we get closer to our harvest time, we can let you know about additional offerings: flowers, eggs, local grains, fruit, etc.
If you plan on being out of town, please consider having a friend or neighbor adopt your box while you're away. Sharing of your produce is a wonderful way to deepen a friendship. :-)

From one of our CSA members:
"I care about the food I prepare for my family, and knowing that my neighbors, Don and Jane Reis, infuse the vegetables I'm bringing to the table with their love, care and reverence for the earth that nurtured those vegetables is important to me. We've been the enthusiastic recipients of First Light Farm vegetables for 4 years and can't say enough about how much we enjoy them."
